What is a “LIMITED EDITION” Fine Art Print?
A limited edition is a hand signed print that has been numbered by the artist, for example: 18/50.
The first number is that of the print itself. The second number is the overall amount of prints the artist will ever produce of that image. In this case, there shall be no more than 50 signed and numbered prints of each piece ever produced, all sizes combined. This will give a higher value to your investment as compared to prints that are available in much larger quantities. Most of the time, the lower the number of the print; the higher its value is. For example, in a given collection the 1/50 print would have a much higher value than the 25/50.
Each print is personally signed and numbered by Salvador Alicea, and it comes with its own certificate of authenticity.
When you purchase a Salvador Alicea limited edition print, you can be certain that not only will the value of your limited-edition piece increase over time, but you can also rest assured that only the limited-edition amount will ever exist amongst collectors around the world.
